Abstract

Abstrak Usaha menjahit adalah usaha untuk mengubah tekstil menjadi pakaian jadi yang bisa digunakan konsumen. Terdapat banyak peralatan dan perlengkapan yang menunjang pekerjaan tersebut seperti benang, jarum, kancing, gunting, dan lain sebagainya, namun tidak memiliki tempat tersendiri sehingga penjahit merasa sedikit kesulitan saat mencari peralatan tersebut. Kemudian tempat untuk memotong pola, menjahit, dan setrika merupakan tempat yang berbeda sehingga penjahit harus berpindah tempat saat melakukan aktivitas tersebut. Dengan permasalahan diatas maka dibutuhkan fasilitas berupa workstation yang memiliki banyak fungsi, serta dilengkapi dengan penyimpanan semua peralatan dalam menjahit. Metode yang digunakan dalam pencarian data adalah mix metode, yaitu metode penelitian yang menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif (metode penelitian berdasarkan observasi dan wawancara secara intensif) dan kuantitatif (metode penelitian berdasarkan hasil kuesioner yang akan menjadi data pendukung dalam penelitian). Pada observasi dilakukan pada dua tempat di area Surabaya dan Sidoarjo kemudian analisis menggunakan analisis kebutuhan kerja, analisis kebutuhan penyimpanan, analisis dimensi penyimpanan, analisis dimensi area kerja, analisis layout area kerja, analisis penempatan, analisis material, analisis finishing, analisis sistem, analisis bentuk, dan analisis warna. Kemudian didapatkan hasil sintesa desain, konsep desain, lima alternatif desain dan ditutup dengan kesimpulan dan saran. Kata kunci : desain, workstation, penjahit Abstract Sewing project is a project to change textile material into clothes that can be worn by the consumers. There are many tools and equipment that support this job such as yarn, needle, button, scissors, etc. however, they don’t have special place so the tailor gets difficulty when look for them. Besides that, the places to cut the pattern, to sew and to iron are different so the tailor has to move to other place when does those activities. By seeing that case, it needs a facility like a workstation that has many functions and be equipped by all sewing tools storage. The method that is used in searching data is mix method, means a research method using qualitative approach (research method based on observation and intensive interview) and quantitative (research method based on the result of questioners that can be support data in a research). The observations were made at two places in the area of Surabaya and Sidoarjo. In the step of analysis, it uses work need analysis, storage need analysis, storage dimension analysis, work area dimension analysis, work area layout analysis, placement analysis, material analysis, finishing analysis, system analysis, shape analysis, and colour analysis. Next, it will get the result of design synthesis, design concept, five alternative designs and ended by conclusion and advice. Keywords : design, workstation, tailor

Abstract

Indonesia consists of so many islands and provinces, as well as diverse cultures ranging from Sabang to Merauke. Various cultures that exist in Indonesia, are still preserved by the people who live and live in the area from the past until now as traditions and ancestral heritage that must be preserved. The culture of East Kalimantan is one of the local cultures in Indonesia with distinctive characteristics, namely the culture of the Dayak tribe and the culture of Kutai Kartanegara. In this modern era, many have left the cultural heritage of their ancestors which has become the hallmark of a local identity that exists in Indonesia, especially the East Kalimantan Province. Fashion accessories products are one of the media that can lead the general public to introduce the culture in East Kalimantan with designs that apply elements of local cultural images typical of East Kalimantan. The purpose of designing this fashion accessory product is to pass on a local culture, especially in the East Kalimantan area, which is applied in the form of fashion accessories product media. The research method uses qualitative and quantitative research methods in collecting data. In the analysis there are accessories in the form of needs analysis for fashion products, cultural analysis, shape analysis, glasses system analysis, watch system analysis, bracelet system analysis, material analysis, color analysis, and market analysis. The results of this study are eyewear products with the application of blowpipe shapes, watches products with the application of the Dayak Tribe carving motifs, and products with the application of a combination form of Lembuswana, Hudoq, and Naga Erau.

Abstract

The low interest of people in reading has closed several book publishers as their books were not in demand. Furthermore, there are some publishers who sell their books only for private users such as Zifatama book publisher in Sidoarjo. If this publisher wants to put their books at big book shops, it will get very high charge of tax. This fact has underpinned the researcher to design a portable shelf specifically for Zifatama book publisher so that it can sell the books in the interior events such as seminar, workshop, and training. To design the display shelf, the researcher employed mix method by observing various places related to display shelves and interviewing the head of Zifatama publisher. Those methods aimed to ease the researcher in developing the product through some analyses regarding the needs, activity, display product types, product placement, design style, shape, system, color, technology of information media, material, ergonomics, and product dimension. The final result obtains a product of display shelf having design concepts of informative and modern minimalist which is stackable to ease the publisher bringing it during an interior event. In addition, this display shelf presents information on Zifatama Publisher books to users.

Abstract

The fashion industry is very quick to follow trends that match the lifestyle of this modern era. The concept of distribution began in the mid-1990s in Bandung. At that time Bandung independent bands were trying to sell their merchandise such as CD cassettes, t-shirts, and stickers other than where they performed. The initial form of the distribution was a home-based business with storefronts and shelves to sell clothes. One of the distributions that has developed at this time in the city of Surabaya, namely CasualCultureco, is a distribution that carries the concept of football supporters. The design of the display rack to show fashion products that will be sold in the distribution also has an effect on increasing sales of CasualCultureco distribution products. The research method used to design this display rack uses descriptive qualitative methods by searching for data in the field related to display racks and conducting interviews with the leadership of CasualCultureco, the method used aims to facilitate researchers in making products which are then analyzed using analysis and design requirements. , analysis of display product types, shape analysis, product placement analysis, ergonomics analysis, product dimension analysis, design style analysis, color analysis, systems analysis, information media technology analysis, structural material analysis and finishing material analysis. The final result is a product with an informative and minimalist concept, this display rack can be disassembled, which makes it easier for users and can also be carried anywhere, besides that on this display rack there are digital displays as information media that informs about products and social media CasualCultureco to consumers.
